A Day on the Farm
This hands-on exploration of the connections between farms and food includes an introduction to a cow, a trip to the henhouse, and a visit with a small flock of sheep, along with a hand-milking demonstration, butter-making, egg-collecting, story-telling, role-playing, relay-racing and an all-around good time. Adults often tell us, “This is the best fieldtrip I’ve ever been on!”
Kindergarten-2nd Grade. 3 Hours. $7/student. $105 minimum.
Children tune into their senses and explore the season with a look at what’s happening on the farm. A hands-on learning experience that includes close-up encounters with farm animals, a milking demonstration, egg-collecting, role-play, movement, and a rousing rendition of The Little Red Hen. A whole lot of educational fun!
Preschool. 1 ½ Hours. $5/student. $75 minimum.
